West Polaris - Seadrill
In July 2008, Eksportfinans ASA disbursed NOK 1.011 million to Seadrill for financing of Norwegian equipment placed onboard the drillship "West Polaris". The biggest Norwegian exporter was National Oilwell Norway AS in Kristiansand S.
FACTS
The loan is on CIRR terms with a down payment over 12 years. The drillship, which can drill in waterdepths up to 10.00 feet and with a 35.000 feet drilling depth, is built at Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea. The loan was arranged in cooperation with DnB NOR Bank ASA.
